Stopping by the Office

2015-9-21 Office visitors (2) Here are a few friendly faces who dropped by this morning on their P-Day.  These good Elders came to use the computers at the Employment Center next door.  They always drop in to say hello and to have a handful of M&Ms.

You’ll notice our Elders sport some pretty wild ties.  I LOVE hearing the stories of these ties.  The first thing I do when I see a particularly wild one, is flip up the end to see if there’s a signature on it.  Ties are Treasures to these Elders.  Tie Trading is one of the favorite pastimes in any mission.  When companionships are changed, the Elders usually exchange ties as a fun remembrance of their time working together.  When they exchange ties, they sign their name, or put a note on the back of the tie like you’ll see below.

I’ve been collecting photos of these traded ties, and their owners.  One of these days, I’ll post more pictures of them.  To me, it’s one more evidence of the love these missionaries have for each other and for the work they are doing.  2015-9-21 Office visitors (3) 2015-9-21 Office visitors (4) 2015-9-21 Office visitors (5)
