Mission President’s Seminar North America West and America NW Areas

Selish LodgeThis week we are attending a Mission President’s Seminar at the Selish Lodge in Snoqualmie.  All of the Mission Presidents from California, Washington, Oregon, Hawaii, Alaska, and the Canada Vancouver Mission are here–33 Missions in all, plus members of the Quorum of the Seventy, the Missionary Department, and our Area Leaders.

Wednesday afternoon we drove from Yakima to Snoqualmie, about a two hour drive through gorgeous mountains and forests that are scattered with brilliant yellow-leafed Maples.  The colors were spectacular in the rainy afternoon.  Wish I had photos to show you.  The Cascade Mountains we drove through are the barrier for the wet rainy Washington weather we associate with the Northwest.  The rain usually stops on their western side, before reaching our central valleys.  We are enjoying the rain and the way it enhances the Fall colors and scenery.image

On the map below, you can see Leaenworth and Cle Elum, which are in our Yakima Mission.  This is beautiful country as you will see in the photos I found below.
