Arriving group 1 Dec 2015

2015-12-1 (37).JPGWithin an hour of dropping off our beloved old missionaries, we received 19 new missionaries!  Two more came in from the Mexico MTC this afternoon.  We are thrilled to have so many fabulous missionaries coming our way.   We can tell this group is going to be good!  here they come!2015-12-1 (40).JPG2015-12-1 (49).JPGElder Archibald and Elder Krogue meet and welcome our new missionaries.
2015-12-1 (52)  2015-12-1 (51)2015-12-1 (56)Lots of luggage and lots of tired smiles.  These missionaries left Provo about the time we left for the airport very very early this morning with our first departing group!2015-12-1 (57)2015-12-1 (66)Everyone loaded into several mission vehicles and traveled to the mission home.  It’s about a 10-15 minute drive across town.  It was cold and grey out.  We had a touch of new snow last night.2015-12-1 (65)Lunch was ready at the mission home:  pulled pork sandwiches, chips, fruit and cookies.  YUM.  Hungry missionaries ate plenty.2015-12-1 (74)2015-12-1 (77)2015-12-1 (80)2015-12-1 (79)2015-12-1 (81)Then everyone found a bed and got settled in a bit before our orientation meetings began.  The Elders are down in the basement, the Sisters are up in the luxury suites!2015-12-1 (96)Everyone filled out some forms and wrote a letter home, which will be mailed.2015-12-1 (88)2015-12-1 (91)2015-12-1 (93)Sister Call and Sister Thompson came to meet everyone and help with the orientation meeting this afternoon.  It’s a little tricky keeping everyone awake!  Sister Call is our mission secretary and Sister Thompson is our finance/housing helper.  Sister Van de Venter, our Mission Nurse also came to meet everyone and explain how she helps.  Elder Call explained the mail and referral procedures and Elder Thompson showed 2 videos about car safety and driving in winter conditions.2015-12-1 (87)After this orientation meeting, we were excited as local missionaries came to the mission home to take these new missionaries out into their areas for an hour and a half to teach and tract and have their first missionary experiences.  Let the fun begin!2015-12-1 (155)2015-12-1 (156)
