Departing Group Comes for Dinner

Here is our departing group of missionaries.  These Elders and Sisters have  been leaders and wonderful examples in our mission and it’s really hard to let them go.  They started arriving at the mission home this afternoon.  It’s been a very snowy day.  Travel was a bit treacherous as they came from the four corners of the mission. 2015-12-18 Departing group (26).JPGWe had time this afternoon to visit and reminiscence with these missionaries and the families and ward members who transported them to us.  Good byes and farewells are always hard.

Tonight we had a great meal–tri tip roast, potatoes, carrots, broccoli, salad and our favorite apple cake with to-die-for sauce and ice cream.  The APs and STLs joined us for dinner.2015-12-17 Departing group (7)2015-12-17 Departing group (30)Ladies always go first!2015-12-17 Departing group (18)2015-12-17 Departing group (26)2015-12-17 Departing group (29)2015-12-17 Departing group (27)2015-12-17 Departing group (25)2015-12-17 Departing group (33)2015-12-17 Departing group (31)Before and after dinner, President Lewis continued his interviews.2015-12-17 Departing group (34)The rest of us “chilled,”  some inside but then most outside!  Then there was a little wrestling, more visiting, and our final testimony meeting.

Then it was time for more fun.   We taught everyone how to play Rhythm Sticks, a Lewis Family favorite.

The missionaries stayed up late having fun, laughing and playing.  No one wanted this day to end, this last day.
