We took these Five Faithful to the airport this morning after a great breakfast and a final hour together.  We are really going to miss them.  What great missionaries!2016-1-11, 12 Departing Group (48)Sister Olgin, Sister Danger, Sister Johnson, Elder Pullman and Elder Lewis2016-1-11, 12 Departing Group (28)2016-1-11, 12 Departing Group (33)2016-1-11, 12 Departing Group (29)2016-1-11, 12 Departing Group (34)2016-1-11, 12 Departing Group (35)2016-1-11, 12 Departing Group (31)Here we are at the airport on a cold wintry morning:2016-1-11, 12 Departing Group (52)2016-1-11, 12 Departing Group (54)2016-1-11, 12 Departing Group (52)2016-1-11, 12 Departing Group (55)2016-1-11, 12 Departing Group (63)2016-1-11, 12 Departing Group (58)And here come 8 of our 12 new missionaries!  The plane that our departing group waited to board brought these wonderful new Elders and Sisters to us!  They crossed paths for a few minutes in the terminal.  You’ll see our departing 5 ready to board as these bright and beautiful Sisters and Elders came into our lives!2016-1-11, 12 Departing Group (59).JPG2016-1-11, 12 Departing Group (60)Warm greetings on a cold day in Yakima:2016-1-11, 12 Departing Group (61)Baggage claim:2016-1-12 Arrivals (6)2016-1-12 Arrivals (7)2016-1-12 Arrivals (9)2016-1-12 Arrivals (10)2016-1-12 Arrivals (14)2016-1-12 Arrivals (13)2016-1-12 Arrivals (15)And off to the Mission Home for lunch and time to get acquainted!2016-1-12 Arrivals (16)2016-1-12 Arrivals (17)2016-1-12 Arrivals (18)2016-1-12 Arrivals (19)Filling out some forms, letters home, and a questionnaire:2016-1-12 Arrivals (20)2016-1-12 Arrivals (22)2016-1-12 Arrivals (25)Next came orientation meetings where we went had the office couples explain a few important things.  Sister Thompson talked about finances and housing, Elder Thompson explained about the cars, Sister Call talked about phones and office supplies and Elder Called talked about mail and reports.2016-1-12 Arrivals (77)2016-1-12 Arrivals (80)This is our mission nurse, Sister Kathy VanDeVenter.  She is amazing.  She explained medical procedures and taught some helpful hints on keeping healthy.2016-1-12 Arrivals (78)Sister Call with Sister Dungan:2016-1-12 Arrivals (26)Sister Thompson and Sister Call:2016-1-12 Arrivals (27)There are so many here who take such good care of every single missionary.  We are all in this together.

This new group is outstanding.  Wow, we’ve been so impressed.  Four of them are Spanish Elders, four are Spanish Sisters, and four are English Elders.  They seem so excited and so thrilled to be here in Yakima.  They are also all healthy and they all stayed awake.  Most have been up since the wee hours, if they even got to bed at all last night.  We’re thrilled to finally have them join us.  Four more are coming this afternoon from the Mexico MTC.
