Yakima Women do Days for Girls!

This morning the women of Yakima, old and young, gathered to learn about and work on Days for Girls feminine hygiene kits.  It was a fabulous event held at the Harman Senior Center here in Yakima.  Toni McBean is doing such a great job mobilizing women and young women in our community.  We filled the room to overflowing from 10:00 this morning until late in the afternoon.  Between 250 and 300 women and young women came!  Oh, my we got a lot done!Take a look at these happy faces.  You’ll find more on our Days for Girls Yakima Team Facebook page in the photo albums.  Go tag yourself and enjoy looking at the beauty of a room filled with bright lovely fabric and women!The local Yakima Quilt Guild provided lunch for everyone.  What kindness!  We are grateful for all who came and for all that was accomplished.  This is a monthly event here in Yakima.  All are welcome and we are thrilled with all the new friends we are making!
