Interviews in Wenatchee

2016-2-16 Interviews Wenatchee (1)Today we headed north to Wenatchee, about a 2 hour drive from Yakima.  We met first with our fearless Zone Leaders, Elders Tanner and Turley.  They are fantastic.2016-2-16 Interviews Wenatchee (3)Elder Tanner:  I like thinking things through logically and can explain the scriptures clearly.  Elder Turley says I have a good attitude.  I never get down and I love to learn.  I’ve developed a love for the people we teach–and the way it comes makes me feel it’s not from me, it’s a gift bestowed.

Elder Turley:  I feel I have the gift of being sincere, or real with people.  I love playing the piano.  I’m not perfect, but I try to have charity.  I just want to help others.  I am dedicated.  When I was on the swim team I was tempted to stop, but I kept going.

2016-2-16 Interviews Wenatchee (9)Hermana Kennedy:  I’m very musically talented (piano, violin, organ, singing).  I dance.  I’m a very good listener.  I’m pretty patient with people (not myself).  I can act in faith.

Hermana Harston:  I like to write.  I used to play the clarinet in high school.  I’m a runner.  I’m pretty good at staying positive in all situations.  I’m creative.  That’s it for now!

2016-2-16 Interviews Wenatchee (10)Elder West:  I’m really good at explaining things clearly and trying to be simple.  I’m good at understanding things in a technical way, or how things work in the gospel.  I’m good at interpreting the scriptures, metaphors and historical things.  I’m obedient.  I can work well with my companion.  That sums it up.

Elder King:  I am somewhat good at math, science and computers. I’m pretty quick to learn (in new situations).  I adapt well.  I make a mean fried egg breakfast.  I love to sing, especially hymns.  I can conduct music (played the tuba and percussion in band).  I’m patient, pretty good at organizing people and things.

2016-2-16 Interviews Wenatchee (16)Elder Watts:  I’m good at laughter.  I try to be positive.  I’d like to say I have charity.  I understand the scriptures (that’s a great blessing).  I have a firm testimony.  I’m diligent sometimes.  I try to be a good listener.  I’m working on being a better administrator/ leader.

Elder Sandholtz:  I don’t know.  This is hard for me!  I love my family.  I have a testimony of the truth.  I have hair.  I can write.  I enjoy studying the scriptures.  Honestly, I don’t know.  I try.  I love feeling the Spirit.

2016-2-16 Interviews Wenatchee (17)Sister Robalin:   A talent I have acquired so far on my mission is being able to talk to people.  I’m good at listening to people and good at being able to feel the love the Savior has for them.

Sister Van Orden:  I love music (piano and singing).  I’m working on feeling charity for all.  I’m pretty good at staying positive and good at building others up.

2016-2-16 Interviews Wenatchee (20)Sister Torman:  I’m really good at loving people.  I like to sing.  I’m good at soccer.  I’m happy most of the time.  I look for the good in others and like helping people.

Sister Skousen:  I think I can explain myself well.  I’m a good learner.  I’m honest and pretty good at doing the right thing.  I’m a good reader–I like to read.  I’m pretty good at connecting with people from different walks of life.

2016-2-16 Interviews Wenatchee (21)Hermana Dungan:  I can sing.  I can understand people–I’m empathetic.  I’m super competitive but like others to win too.  It’s easy for me to love people and forgive people.  I don’t give up (I’m from the Year of the Dragon).

Hermana Campbell:  I’m good at finding scriptures fast.  I’m flexible.  I’m a good listener and I like focusing on other people.2016-2-16 Interviews Wenatchee (22)Elder Kiser:  I play basketball.  I like being friendly and being someone to talk to.  I can see things how they really are.  I like to study–times flies when I am studying.  I enjoy learning.  I like being optimistic and I’m good at not making my bed.

Elder Mendoza:  I play the guitar.  That’s all.  I’m good at eating food.  I like to help people when they need help–I like helping them help themselves.  I’m a good speller.  I’m a grammar Nazi.  I can get out of bed fast.

2016-2-16 Interviews Wenatchee (33)Elder Tietjen:  I play the piano and like music a lot.  I have learned how to listen to the Spirit and receive answers to my prayers.  I’m learning how to be a good leader.  I like to try to focus on making people feel that I care about them.

Elder Saitman:  I’m good at making people laugh.  I have a knowledge of the scriptures.  I’m good at persevering.  I enjoy people, watching excitement and I like developing friendships with the people we meet.  I love sharing my testimony.

2016-2-16 Interviews Wenatchee (34)Elder Black:  I can relate to investigators easily (I recently was one!).  I really try to love everyone I talk to.  I like hard work.  I try to understand someone’s point of view.  I love reading the scriptures.

Elder Hoskins:  I have a great desire to do good missionary work.  I’m naturally loving.  I have child-like faith.  I have a positive attitude.  I can follow the Spirit.  I’m learnin gto learn.  I don’t get down on myself when things are tough.

 

I love these missionaries.  Aren’t they amazing??
