After dinner we had more orientation meetings, this time with the office staff. Sister Call explained about the phones and office procedures and supplies and orders. Elder Call talked about reports, referrals and mail. Sister Thompson taught them about finances and housing and Elder Thompson and Elder Chandler talked about cars and safety. Sister Van de Venter, our mission nurse went over medical issues and procedures.
President Lewis has been interviewing each missionary. He’s hardly come up for air all day. 23 interviews, to get to know each so we can be sure the trainer and area assignments are the best fit possible.
Then I had a little time to introduce our Lewis Family to the missionaries and the APs answered questions and talked about the different zones in the mission and what each area is like. Tomorrow morning everyone will get their first assignments.Above: Elder and Sister Thompson and Sister Van de Venter. Below: Sister Call and Sister Thompson.
Elder and Sister Chandler serve full time up in Omak. They are helping transport missionaries to and from new areas.

Maybe you can see in these photos that everyone is excited and exhausted. It’s been a long day. By about 9:30, President Lewis finished his interviewing and joined us for a testimony meeting. Then we sent everyone to bed at 10:30 and these fabulous APs went to work with us, figuring out who the Lord would have each missionary serve with. We worked until after 1:00 a.m. and then fell into bed by 2:00, excited for morning.
