This afternoon we took our kids on a little field trip to see Came Zarahemla, about a 45 minute drive from Yakima, up into the mountains. It was a gorgeous drive through the pines, along the rivers and lakes. We enjoyed seeing wild Lupine and other wildflowers and we watched the ice cold glacier waters rushing down to the valleys.
The snow is gone and soon the campers will start arriving here. One of our Yakima Relief Societies will be here next weekend for a retreat. Then in June, Girls Camps will come, every week, all summer. It’s a beautiful little spot of paradise. We met the Morgans, volunteer service missionaries, who are managing the camp this next year. They are from St. George, Utah. The kids had fun skipping rocks at the boat dock.
