Monday at the Office

2016-7-4 Monday Office (3)This morning is the calm before the storm.  This afternoon the departing missionaries come to the mission home.  This is their LAST DAY here.  We are pretending to be happy for them.  They are pretending to be happy to leave.  All this pretending leaves us all a mess.

We also have 69 missionaries moving to new areas this week, so today is a day for packing and goodbyes for many of them.  When I was a missionary a million years ago, we called this “Transfer Trauma.”  Things haven’t changed one bit!2016-7-4 Monday Office (1)2016-7-4 Monday Office (4)2016-7-4 Monday Office (6)2016-7-4 Monday Office (9)2016-7-4 Monday Office (10)2016-7-4 Monday Office (11)Elder Jimenez was thrilled to be reunited with his iPad, which has been locked away since the formation of the WYM last year.  He’ll be taking it home with him tomorrow.2016-7-4 Monday Office (12)2016-7-4 Monday Office (15)2016-7-4 Monday Office (18)Transfer Meeting:2016-7-4 Monday Office (23)2016-7-4 Monday Office (24)2016-7-4 Monday Office (25)2016-7-4 Monday Office (27)Farewell to Hermana Dee.  Tomorrow she’ll be in Alaska.  2016-7-4 Monday Office (29)2016-7-4 Monday Office (31)2016-7-4 Monday Office (40)2016-7-4 Monday Office (41)2016-7-4 Monday Office (42)The Zillah and Sunnyside Elders showed up as we were leaving.  Elder Criddle is turning in more baptismal forms.  He and Elder Olson have had a great transfer in Zillah.2016-7-4 Monday Office (44)

One Response to Monday at the Office

  1. Sheri Mom says:

Dropped our son Elder Nathan Anderson off at the SL Airport today to catch his flight to the Mexico MTC. WYM you will be getting a good egg in August! We can relate to “all the pretending leaving us a mess” but we wouldn’t want it any other way!!
