A New Group Arrives! Welcome to the WYM!

IMG_2399We headed back to the airport this afternoon to meet our new group of missionaries coming from the Provo MTC.  We were excited.  Meeting new missionaries eases the sadness of sending others home.  Today we expected 12 new missionaries.

Two Hermanas coming from the Mexico MTC missed a connection and will arrive later tonight–at about midnight.

Here these come:IMG_2401IMG_2404IMG_2406IMG_2407IMG_24082016-7-5 New Arrivals (21)2016-7-5 New Arrivals (22)2016-7-5 New Arrivals (23)2016-7-5 New Arrivals (24)2016-7-5 New Arrivals (26)2016-7-5 New Arrivals (27)2016-7-5 New Arrivals (28)2016-7-5 New Arrivals (30)Once at the Mission Home (about a 15 min drive from the airport), we went to work getting acquainted and filling in the arrival forms.2016-7-5 New Arrivals (31)And President Lewis starting interviewing each missionary.2016-7-5 New Arrivals (32)2016-7-5 New Arrivals (33)Sister Call and Sister Thompson and their husbands dropped by and joined us for dinner and orientation meetings this evening.2016-7-5 New Arrivals (34)For dinner we had a great Holiday BBQ with all the fixin’s.2016-7-5 New Arrivals (35)YUM!2016-7-5 New Arrivals (36)2016-7-5 New Arrivals (37)Including fresh Bing and Ranier cherries, locally grown2016-7-5 New Arrivals (38)2016-7-5 New Arrivals (39)2016-7-5 New Arrivals (40)2016-7-5 New Arrivals (42)2016-7-5 New Arrivals (43)2016-7-5 New Arrivals (44)2016-7-5 New Arrivals (45)2016-7-5 New Arrivals (46)After dinner we gathered downstairs for an orientation meeting.2016-7-5 New Arrivals (47)2016-7-5 New Arrivals (48)We took a little break for some dessert:2016-7-5 New Arrivals (50)2016-7-5 New Arrivals (52)2016-7-5 New Arrivals (53)Organizing stuff needed for the evening:2016-7-5 New Arrivals (54)Then more meetings.  The Assistants taught everyone about the different zones and areas in the WYM.2016-7-5 New Arrivals (56)When we finished up (around 10:00) we sent everyone to bed.  Then Pres.
