At 11:30 we left for the Yakima Stake Center with the new missionaries. We pulled in to a parking lot of excited missionaries waiting to greet our newest fellow missionaries. It was a perfectly beautiful day here in Yakima. 65 degrees. Warm sun. Crisp Fall air. And lots of happy faces. From here missionaries are taken to various places in the mission, sort of like the Hogwarts Express. Those going to the northern zones go first to Quincy, a satellite transfer site, where others will be gathering to drop off and pick up.
This morning’s early run to Goldendale was back here, with missionaries heading north from down south. From Yakima to the top of our mission is about a 5+ hour drive. From Yakima to the southern most part is about a 3 hour drive.
