A Trip to Leavenworth

2017-1-5-leavenworth-3Today these cute kids packed up and headed to Leavenworth in the bitter cold.  Claire has been quite sick, so I stayed home with her and we kept warm.  Leavenworth is pretty magical during the holidays as you can see here.2017-1-5-leavenworth-42017-1-5-leavenworth-13German cheeses:2017-1-5-leavenworth-222017-1-5-leavenworth-242017-1-5-leavenworth-27And a cold walk around the lake:2017-1-5-leavenworth-29Aaron and Kassi:2017-1-5-leavenworth-31Heidi, Adam and baby Clark:2017-1-5-leavenworth-33And Graham missing Claire:2017-1-5-leavenworth-342017-1-5-leavenworth-38German food:2017-1-5-leavenworth-232017-1-5-leavenworth-402017-1-5-leavenworth-432017-1-5-leavenworth-452017-1-5-leavenworth-49And home to us this evening.  To celebrate my birthday today, they brought Bienenstich, a favorite German pastry and a Nativity made in Leavenworth to add to our collection.2017-1-5-moms-birthday-22017-1-5-moms-birthday-6I had a very nice day here, relaxing, enjoying messages from friends, missionaries and parents of missionaries.  It was as good as attending your own funeral!  I loved it.  Thanks to all of you for your kind messages and greetings.  I have a pretty perfect life and I am grateful.

I’m glad it was so wonderful, Ann. Leavenworth truly does look like many of the towns I recently visited.
