I will cherish the memory of these holidays with the kids for a long time. We don’t know when we’ll all be together again. Adam, Claire and Graham will graduate from BYU this Spring, then they will go off into their own sunsets–Adam to medical school and Claire wherever Graham finds employment. Aaron heads to Jerusalem next week. Kassi will be at BYU. All are working and studying and saving for their futures which will unfold as we go. And we will be here in Yakima, watching all from a distance. We hit our 1.5 year mark this week. Our mission here is half over. Amazing. All this makes me feel a little sad today, as we sent the kids and the baby off into the snow storms out there.
But first, here are a few last photos of our week together:Games and movies on the mega bed downstairs:Shopping outing with some of the kids with a stop at Major’s for burgers:Birthday dinner at Zesta Cucina:And a last group shot this morning before the car pulled out into the snowy world. They got as far as Pendleton this afternoon and had to stop–the roads were closed. Tomorrow looks pretty dicey too. We are praying for their safety.
Claire and Graham flew out this afternoon and have arrived home safely tonight.
And now, it’s just the 2 of us again with our 175 wonderful missionaries, our other family (and Lots of Snow). Next week we go back on the road again, interviewing up north. Then we have Zone Conferences and the rest of the interviews. We will be busy. It’s been nice to just breathe for awhile. I sure love our kids. We will miss them.
