Transfer Planning, already!

2017-1-18-aps-1Most of central Washington has been out of commission today due to icy rain storms and bad weather.  Schools are closed.  Businesses are closed.  Roads are closed.  Tonight we had a call from The Dalles reporting 3″ of ice on the roads there.  They won’t be coming to our Yakima Zone Conference tomorrow.  It’s just too dangerous.

“The best thing for people to do is to try to not go out,” said Scott Miller, Yakima County Department of Emergency Management Services director.

So we are hunkering down.  I made a pot of 13-bean soup with some ham hocks and we had the APs come to help us start working on TRANSFERS.  As we have had to postpone 2 of our 3 Zone Conferences until Friday this week and next Tuesday, we will be in a crunch for time when they are over.  So  we went to work today.  We hope everyone will be safe throughout the mission.  Tomorrow we’ll meet with the Yakima Valley, Yakima and Selah Zones.  We’ll just slide on over to the Stake Center and have a great day with the missionaries here.
