This is the Yakima Stake Center, one of our Transfer Sites. At 1:00 this afternoon in bitter cold weather, missionaries from all the southern parts of the mission and the Yakima and Selah Zones who were being transferred gathered. The wind chill factor was bitterly cold. Missionaries were sorted into locations with their luggage and stuff, and good members helped us to arrange transport back to The Dalles, to Ellensburg and to Quincy.
Missionaries from the northern parts, went to Ellensburg or Quincy to continue farther north, or to be brought back down here. It’s all very complicated with lots of moving parts and pieces. It takes the APs many many hours to figure our all the logistics of transfers. While I have these two here, I finally caught up with them to ask our interview questions and here are their responses:
Elder Cannon: Something I want to do: baptize every remaining month of my mission. Something I want to become: someone who always puts others before myself in both my thoughts and actions.
Elder Taele: Something I want to do: serve valiantly to the end of my mission (and throughout my life). Something I want to become: a committed follower of Christ.
