MLC Prep

2017-2-6-monday-office-27Here’s a look behind the scenes at the Mission Home as we prepare for Mission Leadership Council in the morning.  Elder and Sister Smith have taken over as our Supply Coordinators and will be Housing Coordinators in the Yakima areas (the McBeans completed their service mission).  The Smiths have been out gathering housing and cleaning supplies for all the zones.  The orders come in a week or so before MLC each month, and the Zone Leaders pick up the supplies for their zones at MLC.

Have you ever had a child off at college and helped them move in or move out?  Or have you encouraged them to keep their apartments clean?  Multiply that by 178 peeps with moves for about half of them every 6 weeks.  Did I mention furnishing those apartments?Welcome to missionary life!

We are Grateful for these Church Service Missionaries who help keep things running smoothly here!2017-2-6-monday-office-262017-2-6-monday-office-282017-2-6-monday-office-292017-2-6-monday-office-30

In the meantime, I was in the kitchen with my apron on.  Tomorrow we’ll feed about 35 of those hungry peeps.  I mean missionaries.  (I call my children peeps.)  Here’s how the first pot of soup started:2017-2-6-monday-office-25And here’s how it ended:2017-2-6-monday-office-31And then there was another pot.  I am ready for morning.  Pres Lewis is frantically setting up tables and chairs and making name cards and preparing agendas and handouts and trainings.  There is never a dull moment here.  We love it all.2017-2-6-monday-office-32Sis Edwards helped make Cocoa Puds for tomorrow.  Don’t miss the recipes for these in the recipe section of this blog.  2017-2-6-monday-office-52017-2-6-monday-office-6
