Mission Leadership Council, morning

2017-2-7-mlc-1Today our mission leaders traveled to Yakima from throughout the mission.  We held our monthly MLC meeting here.  It’s a favorite.  We love these missionaries and the examples they set for everyone in the mission.  We have 9 Zone Leader companionships and 9 Sister Training Leaders.  Come take a look as they arrived this morning: 2017-2-7-mlc-2The Pantry Door is a favorite spot, especially now that it’s up to date!  Thanks to those of you who have sent family photos to us.  It’s not too late if you haven’t yet!2017-2-7-mlc-32017-2-7-mlc-42017-2-7-mlc-52017-2-7-mlc-62017-2-7-mlc-72017-2-7-mlc-82017-2-7-mlc-9Supplies were waiting in the garage for pick up afterwards.2017-2-7-mlc-102017-2-7-mlc-112017-2-7-mlc-122017-2-7-mlc-132017-2-7-mlc-142017-2-7-mlc-152017-2-7-mlc-16Snacks:2017-2-7-mlc-172017-2-7-mlc-182017-2-7-mlc-192017-2-7-mlc-202017-2-7-mlc-21

Here are our companionships:2017-2-7-mlc-1062017-2-7-mlc-232017-2-7-mlc-242017-2-7-mlc-252017-2-7-mlc-262017-2-7-mlc-272017-2-7-mlc-282017-2-7-mlc-292017-2-7-mlc-302017-2-7-mlc-312017-2-7-mlc-322017-2-7-mlc-332017-2-7-mlc-342017-2-7-mlc-35We began the meeting with our rousing mission song, “Called to Serve.”2017-2-7-mlc-362017-2-7-mlc-372017-2-7-mlc-38Here is today’s agenda:2017-2-7-mlc-392017-2-7-mlc-40Pres Lewis talked about being anxiously engaged.  Our plan for today was to counsel together about the new missionary schedule.  “D&C 58 is a map that shows how to get to Zion from where we are.  It is a seldom used map, and some have wandered in the wilderness for years, not understanding the Lord’s directions of preferring their ‘own way’ (D&C 1:16).  Those to whom the Lord spoke specifically in section 58 understood it and acted on it as commanded.” (Steven C. Harper, Making Sense of the Doctrine and Covenants.)

We are also on that path as a mission.  Today we spent a few hours discussing how we want to get there.2017-2-7-mlc-422017-2-7-mlc-452017-2-7-mlc-462017-2-7-mlc-472017-2-7-mlc-49A short break:2017-2-7-mlc-512017-2-7-mlc-522017-2-7-mlc-532017-2-7-mlc-542017-2-7-mlc-552017-2-7-mlc-562017-2-7-mlc-572017-2-7-mlc-602017-2-7-mlc-612017-2-7-mlc-622017-2-7-mlc-632017-2-7-mlc-642017-2-7-mlc-652017-2-7-mlc-662017-2-7-mlc-672017-2-7-mlc-682017-2-7-mlc-692017-2-7-mlc-70Then we stopped for lunch at about 12:30.  So far, it’s been a great day.
