First Feast and Evening Orientation

2017-3-14 bArriving Group (43)It’s so fun to feed hungry missionaries!  Tonight for their first feast, we served tri-tip steak, roasted potatoes, fresh green beans, a nice salad and warm rolls.  For dessert we had our signature apple cake with cream sauce.  What a great meal!  The office couples, Sister Van De Venter our Mission Nurse and APs joined us for dinner and for orientation meetings afterwards.2017-3-14 bArriving Group (44)The Calls and the Pendleburys2017-3-14 bArriving Group (45)Sister Van De Venter2017-3-14 bArriving Group (46)2017-3-14 bArriving Group (50)2017-3-14 bArriving Group (47)2017-3-14 bArriving Group (48)The snow melted off the patio table this week, and the snow is almost entirely melted off the backyard below.  Spring is almost here!!2017-3-14 bArriving Group (49)2017-3-14 bArriving Group (51)2017-3-14 bArriving Group (52)Evening Orientation Meetings:2017-3-14 bArriving Group (53)Each of the office couples explained what their responsibilities are and how they can help.2017-3-14 bArriving Group (54)2017-3-14 bArriving Group (55)Mission t-shirts for P-day service:2017-3-14 bArriving Group (56)By 10:30 we had them all in bed and we went to work assigning trainers to these 3 new Sisters.  It was clear to us who needed to be serving with whom.  It didn’t take too long to wrap up the day and send these APs home to bed too.  2017-3-14 bArriving Group (57)2017-3-14 bArriving Group (58)Tomorrow Elder Taele will head to Moses Lake for this next transfer.  He has served as one of our Assistants for the last 6 months.  We love him and are grateful to him for taking such good care of us.  He won’t be far away, but we’ll really miss him.2017-3-14 bArriving Group (59)
