Interviews today were nearby in the Selah Stake Center with these fine missionaries. I continue to ask each for the best piece of advice ever given by their mothers. Come take a look:
Elder Hansen and Elder Vejnar, Zone Leaders serving in the Selah 1st WardElder Hansen: Make a list. Plan things.
Elder Vejnar: Kindness begins with me.
Elder Hughes and Elder North serving in the Yakima 3rd WardElder Hughes: Be who you are! and Always wear your hearing aids!
Elder North: Missionaries are happier without girlfriends!
Elder Olson and Elder Sandholz serving in the Yakima 2nd WardElder Olson: My mom taught me to relate everything to the gospel.
Elder Sandholz: My mom taught me about different kinds of behavior: passive, aggressive, and passive-aggressive. It’s better not to be either extreme.
Sister Adamson and Sister Don serving in the Terrace Heights WardSister Adamson: Don’t ever give up! You can do hard things! Be happy!
Sister Don: My mother showed me hot to care for others (especially those with special needs).
Elder Tietjen and Elder Folkman serving in the Naches WardElder Tietjen: My mom is a good example of doing things out of love and not out of selfishness. She always said, “Get out of Mesquite!” Dad always said, “Return with Honor.”
Elder Folkman: Don’t forget to breathe!
Elder Folkman’s hands. He’s been helping someone work on a car.
Sister Trump and Sister Boehmer serving in the Selah 2nd WardSister Trump: One day at a time, one step at a time.
Sister Boehmer: Always be yourself and stay true to who you are.
Notes to moms:
It was another pretty perfect day. Love these missionaries. Love visiting with them.
