One of the highlights of my entire day was meeting Lisa Porter (center) and Sister Quinn, who arranged to come by this evening to meet me. Do we look like kindred spirits? I think we are. Lisa is a wonderful member of the Wenatchee community and she is very active in inter-faith activities here. She’s met many of our wonderful missionaries (remembering them each by name) as they’ve served together in the soup kitchen and with other projects in the community.
We spent an hour or so visiting about humanitarian work, Days for Girls, and our love for making the world a better place. We could have visited for Hours. It was a delight. I am very happy to have these new friends. We even matched!
21 April: Lisa emailed these photos to me of some of the Sisters she’s enjoyed knowing. Sister Jackson and Sister Maez:Sister Maez and Sister Thompson:Sisters Wilson, Torman and Hirsche:And here is a “Heart Attack” the Sisters left on her door when they left. Lisa kept the hearts, and they still hang on a wall in her bedroom!
