This is the view from my bed this morning at 5:00 a.m. When I saw the morning light, the words of the hymn, “Welcome, Welcome, Sabbath Morning” immediately danced through my mind and I smiled. By 6:00 the room was light and the day had begun. It’s so lovely here.
We attended the Ahtanum Creek Ward where Glen was confirmed after his baptism yesterday. Next week will be these Sisters’ last Sunday as missionaries here. The ward members are already feeling sad about losing them. So are we.
Did I mention that the opening song in sacrament meeting was “Welcome, Welcome, Sabbath Morning?” Yep. What a sweet message, repeated to me today.
We’ve had a peaceful Sabbath. The blog is caught up. Pres Lewis has been reading letters (only 43 more to go before they flood in again early tomorrow morning), and now I have the evening to catch up with some journaling. It’s been a pretty perfect Sunday in Yakima.
