The Buss and Heffernan Families Arrive!

2017-6-6 (17)After a short nap, we were ready to welcome Hna Buss and Sis Heffernan’s families to the Mission Home to pick up their missionaries.  It’s a bit like Christmas morning, watching these happy reunions!  Moms get the first hugs.  2017-6-6 (18)2017-6-6 (19)2017-6-6 (20)2017-6-6 (21)And here came the Buss Family:2017-6-6 (22)2017-6-6 (26)Moms only get the 2nd hugs when little brothers are faster than moms.2017-6-6 (29)2017-6-6 (30)2017-6-6 (33)Checking on the beautiful repair of Hna Buss’s front teeth:2017-6-6 (34)2017-6-6 (36)Family visiting2017-6-6 (37)And breakfast!2017-6-6 (38)2017-6-6 (39)2017-6-6 (40)2017-6-6 (42)2017-6-6 (43)2017-6-6 (44)2017-6-6 (46)2017-6-6 (48)2017-6-6 (50)Then a tour of the mission home and the artwork here.2017-6-6 (52)The transfer board:2017-6-6 (53)Sis Edwards and Sis Garcia are helping us keep ahead of the game!2017-6-6 (54)2017-6-6 (55)2017-6-6 (56)2017-6-6 (59)2017-6-6 (62)2017-6-6 (63)More farewells before we had to leave for the airport for the next arrivals:2017-6-6 (66)These families get to go on road trips now to see where their daughters served and meet the people they loved.  2017-6-6 (69)My dad always told me (when I was dating boys I didn’t want to marry) that if you have to cut the tail off the dog, it’s best not to do it an inch at a time.  Sometimes these emotion-filled goodbyes feel that painful.  We have a hard time letting go.  We will miss the Sisters who have left us today.
