Today was absolutely beautiful. 75 degrees, clear and bright. The clouds went on forever. It was a glorious day to be on the road. Especially when that road took us next to Royal, in the heartland of farm country.
We went to Royal so I could meet Evelyne Narcisse, who was visiting from Haiti. Evelyne is a Wonder Woman. She’s involved with the Harvest for Humanity non-profit organization in Haiti where we are sending 100s of our Days for Girls kits. Evelyne is the mother of 21 children in the orphanage there. She’s also a Relief Society President, a Seminary teacher, a temple ordinance worker and and she helps as a ward missionary. I was thrilled to meet her and talk about where our Yakima kits are going and how they are received by her girls in Haiti. She’s thrilled with the kits and would like us to send as many as we can–the needs there are endless! Here’s a link to the organization we’re working with:
Ashlee Frank and I conversed (English/French) with Evelyn through a translation app. Look at Evelyne’s face when she saw the next batch of kits we’ll be sending over to her in Haiti:What a beautiful lady! What a beautiful day. My heart was full.
