Sister Call and Sister Pendlebury have been busy organizing used missionary clothing for a swap meet, which happened yesterday during our northern zone conference. We put word out to all the missionaries to bag and bring all the unused clothing from their apartments. (In some closets clothing was piled very very deep!) We brought carloads from the south (where missionaries often come to the office where we keep a good supply of used clothing that’s been left behind). This time it was the northerner’s turn to have at it.
I thought it might be fun for past missionaries to take a look at all these photos of hand-me-downs. I’m sure some pieces will be recognized. At the end of the day, we bagged what was left so it could be shared with members in the wards and branches here or investigators who might have needs. What’s left after that will go to humanitarian centers or Goodwill.
It feels great to have all of this clothing on the move, out of our apartments and into the hands of those who need something new to wear!
