We have started another round of interviews! Every transfer we each meet with every single missionary for about 30 min or so. Sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on what’s going on in their lives. These are full busy wonderful days of driving and visiting and sharing. We just hang on and go!
This time I’ve got a really fun question for each missionary. I’m asking them, “If you could have any 3 wishes, what would they be?” I’m also asking each Elder to describe his favorite tie or each Sister to describe her favorite skirt or dress. We’re going to have some fun answers!
My handouts for this time are about ways to improve conversation skills and quotes on obedience. Oh, one more fun thing–I decided to do a photo shoot of everyone’s tracting bags and what’s inside. This will be really fun too!
We meet in the Royal Seminary Building. Here’s a fun idea from these back-to-school students:
Hermana Falla and Hermana Bastian, serving in the Royal 2nd Ward and 3rd Spanish Hermana Falla: my 3 wishes: I would like to have the opportunity to meet Heavenly Father right now. I would like to know my future. I would like to know what other people are thinking (read minds). My favorite dress is white with orange flowers.
Hermana Bastian: my 3 wishes: To be able to speak all languags, to see Moses part the Red Sea, and to be able to live with my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ! My favorite skirt is brownish-red with buttons all the way up the front and POCKETS!!I wasn’t brave enough at first to ask them to empty their bags for me, but I soon began asking them to!
Hermana Lindsay and Hermana Hull, serving in the Royal 1st Ward and 3rd SpanishHermana Lindsay: my 3 wishes: Time to get everything done in a day without rushing. A new pair of shoes without holes. A bit hug from the fam. My favorite dress is light blue with pink flowers.
Hermana Hull: my 3 wishes: I want to be black. I’d like to travel the world for free. I wish every Ward Mission Leader was like Travis Gilbert. My favorite dress is black & white striped.
Elder Reusch and Elder Bergman, serving in the Wahluke (Mattawa) 1st Ward and 2nd Spanish Elder Reusch: my 3 wishes: a season pass to all the major ski resorts for the rest of my life. To be fluent in more languages, and to eat whatever I want and not get fat! My favorite tie is slightly off-white with a floral pattern on it.
Elder Bergman: my 3 wishes: Unlimited protein powder, infinite raspberries and a new wardrobe every single day! My favorite tie is white with a bright unorganized plaid.
Tyrone, the wonderful Othello Ward Mission Leader found this fun way to mark and prepare copies of the Book of Mormon for first time readers. These Elders were working on this project while they waited for us today:
What’s in your tracting bag? Elder Bergman only carries his scriptures and tracts:Great visits with great missionaries. Today’s great treat: Peanut butter Oatmeal bars:
