Sunday in Selah and Stake Correlation Meeting there

We visited the Selah 1st Ward today, where Elder and Sister Call attend.  It’s a fabulous ward.  Elder Powell and Elder Donakey are serving there now.

Sister Call taught the Relief Society lesson today.  Should have sneaked a photo of her teaching.  It was great.  We were talking about one of the conference talks and how these talks become like scripture to us.  We turned to D&C 1:38 and to D&C 68:3-4, where it says:

And this is the ensample unto them, that they shall speak as they are moved upon by the Holy Ghost.  And whatsoever they shall speak when moved upon by the Holy Ghost shall be scripture, shall be the will of the Lord, shall be the mind of the Lord, shall be the word of the Lord, shall be the voice of the Lord, and the power of God unto salvation.

I found this note written long ago in my scriptures about that and thought about what a gift it is to be surrounded by members and missionaries whose lives are filled with the Spirit and goodness.  I feel their goodness in me.  It’s a sweet blessing every day.

After church we had our monthly Stake Correlation Meeting with Pres Bennett Packard.2018-1-21 Sunday Selah (2)2018-1-21 Sunday Selah (3)2018-1-21 Sunday Selah (4)2018-1-21 Sunday Selah (5)2018-1-21 Sunday Selah (6)Sneaking pictures.2018-1-21 Sunday Selah (8)2018-1-21 Sunday Selah (9)We had an excellent meeting with the Zone Leaders from the Yakima and Yakima Valley Spanish Zones.  It’s good to be here with these priesthood leaders who love missionary work and every person who is changing and turning to Christ.2018-1-21 Sunday Selah (11)Elder Powell and Elder Donakey, Selah:2018-1-21 Sunday Selah (12)Elder Hoogland and Elder Horsley, Yakima Valley:2018-1-21 Sunday Selah (13)2018-1-21 Sunday Selah (14)
