Days for Girls in Yakima! 250 More Kits Completed!

IMG_7751This morning I loaded up the car and headed to our Days for Girls Event here in Yakima at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church.   The ladies there are kind to host and help us.  We had a fantastic day.  50-60 ladies from the community came to help.  We sewed and cut and serged and ironed from 10:00 until 3:00 p.m. and by the end we’d assembled 250 more finished kits.  Last week 1000 kits from Yakima were loaded into a container in Salt Lake, headed for Zimbabwe.  This is a good thing.  A very good thing.IMG_7752

Here’s a look at our day:IMG_7773Our missionaries get to do up to 10 hours of community or spontaneous service every week.  I love it when they come help us.2018-2-17 DfG Yakima (30)IMG_77612018-2-17 DfG Yakima (36)IMG_77712018-2-17 DfG Yakima (11)IMG_77622018-2-17 DfG Yakima (33)IMG_7765IMG_7768IMG_77802018-2-17 DfG Yakima (23)2018-2-17 DfG Yakima (28)2018-2-17 DfG Yakima (34)2018-2-17 DfG Yakima (35)2018-2-17 DfG Yakima (37)2018-2-17 DfG Yakima (38)2018-2-17 DfG Yakima (48)2018-2-17 DfG Yakima (51)2018-2-17 DfG Yakima (45)2018-2-17 DfG Yakima (53)2018-2-17 DfG Yakima (55)2018-2-17 DfG Yakima (54)
