It’s a Saturday morning and we’re in Othello! We had a bit of snow last night. It’s still Cold here. Next week will warm up about 10 degrees. That’s good.
Hermana Green and Hermana Becerra, serving in WardenHna Green: When you have a thought or idea, say it. Trust yourself and the Spirit. Don’t compare yourself and your success with others. Think of if God is proud of your efforts. Being over-stressed or overly self-critical is not how Heavenly Father wants you to feel.
Hna Becerra: Don’t ever be afraid to share your testimony if a lesson gets quiet or awkward! Always remember the reasons you chose to serve a mission. Don’t let the little negative things get in your way.
Elder Wright and Elder Zenn, serving in the Othello 2nd & 4th WardsElder Wright: Pay attention during 12 Week. Use the potentials section at the back of your planner. Befriend all the members.
Elder Zenn: Read Preach My Gospel BEFORE you enter the MTC! Just start talking. Find an exercise program you enjoy and do it every day.
Here is Elder Zenn’s Binder of Good Stuff. He has all the handouts I’ve given him nicely organized. He also has all his orientation information, collected talks, and other info right here, handy. Here’s the exercise program Elder Zenn is using. It’s called Air Alert. Check the next post for more details.
And here is his little book of inspiration and important thoughts. He calls it his “small plates.”
Elder Owen and Elder Pruett, serving in the Othello 3rd and 4th WardsElder Owen: Don’t collect too many things too fast! Look at the progress you’ve made, not what is still in front of you. Never settle with just “getting by.”
Elder Pruett: Don’t freak out! Perfection comes line upon line, so only work on the line in front of you. Do not waste your opportunities for growth (talking to someone on the street, effective studies, extending good invitations, etc.) Focus on the successes against Satan, and not your losses. Elder Veropalumbo and Elder DeBry, Zone Leaders serving in the Othello 1st & 4th Wards
Elder Veropalumbo: Follow the Spirit at all times. Work hard at all times. Love the Lord and the people you teach.
Elder DeBry: Be yourself. Work hard. Be happy.
Healthy treats from home!
