It’s stacking up!

2018-6-15 DfG (4)When I have spare moments, I wash, dry and fold fabric.  I don’t have time to cut anymore, but have handed my electric cutter off to my friend, Barbara O’Brien, who is a member of the local quilt group who meets at the Harman Center.   I met her when we had our first Days for Girls event there.  She has been helping us ever since.  She will take over the cutting job and help keep the fabric moving after I go.2018-6-15 DfG (2)The boxes are all filled with cut strips ready to sew.2018-6-15 DfG (3)And the piles will be cut into the strips as the ladies here need them.  Tomorrow is my last Days for Girls Event here.  In July all of the ladies will be celebrating our 3 year anniversary of Days for Girls in Yakima!  I am thrilled to be a part of this humanitarian effort.  I love the good happening here and all of the friends I’ve made.  I will miss every part of this work.  I look forward to stepping back into more of the same when I return home.2018-6-15 DfG (5)
