Yakima Days for Girls “Bag Ladies” at the Holy Family Catholic Church

This morning I attended the weekly Days for Girls work day at the Holy Family Catholic Church.  These good women have been sewing bags for our Yakima DfG Team for 2.5 years now!  We fondly call them our “Bag Ladies!”  They make 50-100 bags every month!  That keeps us in business, and allows others to focus on the shields and liners.  It takes a village to make a kit!  We are grateful for this group of about 15 women who meet every week in the south east building on their church campus.

  1. Distant Kin says:

Glad to see crafting by folks that know what they are doing. Miss my maternal grandmothers friends in Jackson Ohio quilting in the dining room. She was my closest kin to those buried at Ft Simcoe. Getting more distant by the day here away from churches for no reason. Glad your not.
