We took our last trip to the Yakima Air Terminal this afternoon. Our trusty car pulled into the front row, #1 spot, excited, as we were, to meet the Jackmans.
Their flight was scheduled to arrive from SLC at 2:45 p.m.
The plane landed at about 2:55.
And here they came!
Wow! It was wonderful to embrace and welcome them to Yakima! We’ve waited a long time for this moment, the passing of the baton. They say when a new Mission President arrives in his new area, he begins to preside over that area.
After collecting their luggage, we drove to the Mission Office on 16th Ave., where the Jackmans got to meet our office couples and the APs.
They also said hello to Sis Garcia and Sis Edwards, who gave them the keys to the Mission Home.
We said our last goodbyes to the APs before they headed back to work. Fake smiles, all of them.
The new pictures are hung:
We spent about an hour with the couples, as they introduced themselves and explained their duties.
There’s a bit of work to do to set up the computer systems:
And then we took the Jackmans to their the Mission Home, their new paradise!
