As we move closer to transfers and finish the regular interviews, it’s time for Pres Lewis to meet with those who will be returning home for their final departing interview. This is a wonderful visit every missionary looks forward to, where they can just sit and visit with Pres Lewis about their mission, what they’ve learned, how they’ve changed, about future plans and goals and dreams. Pres Lewis spends about 1.5 hours or so with each departing missionary, listening, counseling, and cheering them on. They love it.
Today Elder Nielsen took his turn here at the Mission Home. I got to visit with Elder Bills, who’s delayed visa has arrived. He and Elder Thompson will be flying to Stockholm, Sweden next Monday morning. We’re sure glad we got to have them here for a while.
But first, the Elders are helped us take control of all the leftovers in the fridge. I’m happy about that!
