Ellensburg is part of the Selah Zone. We met with these good missionaries today on our way back to Yakima. We’ll visit with the rest of the Selah Zone next week. Ellensburg is a college town, always a fun stop. We loved spending our day here.
Sister Hinkle: I’m good with music and animals (training dogs and horses). I love to write (novels). I like to journal and like to take pictures. I like to eat healthy foods and learn about alternative meds like oils, plants and herbs. I play and compose music and can improv on the piano.
Sister Oliva: I’m really thankful for my ability to talk to people–anyone, any age. I love talking to people. My talents in high school: athletics, any sport. I try to see the good in people. I think I might have a talent for cooking (now that I’m without my mom!). I love translating to and from Spanish.
Elder Carroll: #1 I’m good at working hard. I like mountain biking. I’m good at figuring stuff out, solving problems and understanding things. I adjust well to different situations and can stay positive and happy. I like observing and learning from others.
Elder Putman: I love music and play the jazz trumpet (played in jazz improv band in high school). I got to go to Europe with the Utah Ambassadors of Music. I have compassion for others and am trying to develop leadership abilities.
Elder Duitsman: I’m good at talking in front of people (took speech classes) and am good at participating in discussions. I’m good at doing what I’m supposed to be doing and being where I’m supposed to be. I like uplifting people and making them feel better.
Elder Burbank: I enjoy gaining member trust, making friends and I don’t get upset very easily. I love to study the scriptures and love to use scriptures in teaching. I have patience and I don’t get upset very easily.
Elder Sailsberry: I love puzzles, science, math and am good at not talking. I like to read. I’m good at moving people and good at fixing things and taking things apart. I’m good with directions.
Elder Coy: My gifts change and move around. My talents don’t stay. I’m good at playing roller hockey. I’m good with computers. I have a good memory. I like locksmithing. I like web design and used to be good at art and drawing.Elder Mayes: I’m willing to learn what I need to improve to be better as a missionary. I know the doctrine in the lessons and what to teach. Teaching makes me happy–seeing people accept the truth. I’m good at trying things, both spiritual and physical.
Elder Imada: I’m good at cooking and massage therapy. I’m a hard worker and understand responsibility. I’m good at reading people and discerning needs. It’s easy for me to have charity for others.
