This morning after sending off our 7 faithful finishers, we welcomed our first batch of new missionaries who came in on the same plane that took our 7 away from us. 14 arrived from the Provo MTC. They had a short night filled with packing, farewells and lots of anticipation. They were up before dawn, loaded into buses headed for the SLC Airport. They flew to Seattle, then to our own Yakima Air Terminal.
We love new missionaries and all the love and excitement they bring to our mission. This afternoon 2 more will drive to the Mission Home and 8 will fly in from the Mexico MTC. We are ready to receive them! Here’s this first installment:
The drive from the airport to the Mission Home takes about 15 minutes and is just across town. We arrived at lunch time and welcomed everyone into this beautiful place.
As we waited for lunch to be served, everyone worked on their forms and letters home.
Our next 2 missionaries arrived, dropped off by their parents, just in time for lunch.
It has begun. The fun has begun!
