Hermana Harston was the first to depart today. We were up at 4:00 a.m. and on our way to the airport at 4:30. It was very dark out and still. We watched the stars as we drove.
The airport was busy at this early hour. Many LDS members were there. Elder Walters from Ellensberg was leaving for his mission to London.Elder Barduhn and all of his family was leaving for his mission to Washington D. C. We came home at about 6:00 and went back to bed for an hour or so. Then we were up for round two. Betty came to help with the meals.Everyone else was on the same flight to Seattle at 11:00-something. We had a great final breakfast–our traditional waffles with homemade syrup, Santa Fe Egg Casserole, plenty of bacon, OJ, steal cut oats and fruit. YUM.Sister Crofts’ parents came to pick her up. They joined us for breakfast.Hearts have been locked.Then we loaded everything and headed to the airport.Love hearts from Sis. This is the changing of the guard in the Washington Yakima Mission. We will miss our faithful and true departing missionaries like crazy. And we are thrilled to receive more who will work to take their places.
